Public Meeting on the Draft Environmental Impact Study (DEIS) on Klingle Road

WHAT:     Public Hearing on the Draft Environmental
                Impact Statement (DEIS) on Klingle Road  

WHEN:    Thursday, July 21, 2005
                 5:30 to 10:00 pm
                 PUBLIC TESTIMONY BEGINS AT 6:30 PM
                 Support DCs decision to repair our road! 

WHERE:  The National Zoo Park Visitor Center
                3001 Connecticut Avenue, NW 

A public hearing is being held to accept comments on the DEIS for Klingle Road. 
Six proposed alternatives are being considered. 

Alternative C is the way to go because: 

       Alternative C is the preferred alternative chosen by the DC Government
    and the Federal Highway Administration;

       Alternative C will restore our road;

        Alternative C follows the DC Council decision to restore our road;

       The other alternatives either dont meet the DC Council requirements or they
     jeopardize restoration of the road due to increased cost, encroachment on Federal
     parkland, and a greater loss of trees and habitat. 

     Come to the hearing and voice your support for Alternative C 
                       Repair Klingle Road -- the way to go! 

If you cannot attend the public hearing, comments on the DEIS will be
accepted from July 1 through August 15 (45 days).   

All comments received during this time will be considered for inclusion in the
Final EIS.  Comments may be submitted electronically on the Klingle Road EIS website
at KlingleRoadEIS@louisberger.com and written comments can be sent to:
